Summary of Position
Lionsgate has an immediate opening for a Sr. Accountant to support the Company's Accounts Receivable department.
Responsibilities
• Prepare contracts setups of domestic and international licensing contractual agreements
• Review and analysis of data to ensure all revenue recognition is in compliance with ASC 606
• Perform and review accounts receivable transactional functions: customer invoicing, credit memos, deductions, foreign currency gain/loss, cash receipt applications, accounts receivable aging
• Perform and review the month, quarter, and year-end close procedures, including the proper closing of AR sub-ledger, recording of accruals, bad debt reserve, AR discount, contract asset, foreign currency gain/loss, review and posting of journal entries
• Perform and review account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, analysis of results, close calendar, and close / board reporting package
• Prepare monthly Settlement Reporting to facility creditors
• Responds to financial inquiries from internal related parties and outside auditors
Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Experience leading accounting operations, monthly close and preparation of financial reports
• Demonstrated ability for high attention to detail
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
• Exceptional analytical and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Vlookups, etc. (comfort with large datasets)
Compensation
$70,000 - $80,000
