Summary of Position

Lionsgate has an immediate opening in our Theatrical Publicity group for a Manager, Regional Marketing, Events & Special Projects, who will report to the Vice President, Earned Media, Events & Special Projects.

Regional Marketing Responsibilities
• Manage publicity and promotional activities for all activated markets; managing 22 field agency offices spanning 50 US markets, Canada, and targeted agencies

• Develop regional strategy in conjunction with Vice President.

• Develop agency directives and corresponding documents on each campaign.

• Oversee, manage and set nationwide screening programs- screenings to include press, promotional, word-of-mouth and special requests from filmmakers.

• Direct and manage agencies to pitch print, TV, radio and online press to secure coverage during production, trailer launches, first looks, junkets, premieres, PA tours and other press events

• Coordinate regional interview requests throughout theatrical and home entertainment campaigns

• Pitch regional press where applicable

• Coordinate all Los Angeles, New York and regional promotions with radio, print, television and online partners- work with the media team to leverage promotions with media buys.

• Manage daily press breaks for internal and external distribution with national team.

• Review and approve regional promo print ads ensuring the appropriate assets are used.

• Compile and generate final reports and highlights at the end of each campaign for all regional publicity and promotional activities in conjunction with Coordinator.

• Manage promotional item life cycle for all campaigns including ideation, legal approvals, creation. Coordinate with internal departments, distributors and external agencies for ordering & delivery to respective accounts.

• Pitch and organize satellite media tours and radio media tours.

• Plan and execute publicity appearance tours, promotional efforts at film festivals, conventions and publicity tie-in events. Responsible for coordinating all logistics- securing screening time slots, booth space, panel time slots, press (in studio TV & radio, organizing press days, etc), advertising, talent travel and hotel accommodations, etc.

• Work with Distribution to manage Field rep coverage for trade screenings and loyalty screenings; manage trade screening and loyalty screening charts.

• Help manage all aspects of Global Press Junkets which includes but not limited to:

• Add dates to the MPA calendar.

• Book hotel rooms and function space. Place banquet orders with hotel.

• Create press invitation and route through legal.

• Work with internal teams and external agencies to get press interest for talent approvals.

• Coordinate junket travel for press and work with press to track run dates and secure junket pieces.

• Craft overall schedule for the junket.

• Oversee and communicate with all national and regional critic groups including member lists, screening deadlines and announcement dates

• Manage and oversee all field/digital initiatives. Responsible for forging relationships with social media influencers and field online press and work with them on securing coverage. Build on existing stunts/sites/programs the digital team is launching and help create new and innovative digital activations in the field.

• Track and manage field budgets for film campaigns.

• Compile and generate final reports and highlights at the end of each campaign for all regional publicity and promotional activities.

• Staff special events including premieres, press days, content days, experiential activations and regional PA tours

Events and Special Projects Responsibilities
• Assist with all Special Events logistics which may include but not limited to:

• Secure date with MPA

• Reserve screening & party venue

• Work with production vendor on carpet and party ideas, design, logistics etc

• Coordinate with creative on materials needed for the event

• Coordinate with Exhibitor Relations for additional branding opportunities

• Work with Partnerships team on any brand partner executions and deliverables.

• Manage overall guest list with production vendor, as well as sending internal invites.

• Create staffing documents for events.

• Track event budget expenses and submit vendor invoices

• Send post event recaps to executives and filmmakers.

• Conceptualize and execute various stunt ideas on films.

Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum 3-5 years of industry related experience; publicity experience preferred.

• Experience with Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign required

• Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with internal departments and external clients.

• Very strong and effective written, verbal and presentation skills

• Highly organized and detail oriented

• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deal with deadline pressure
