Financial Analyst, Contract Compliance & Third Party Audit

Summary of Position

Lionsgate has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst in our Contract Compliance & Third Party Audit department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and support of compliance examinations of Lionsgate's contracts with outside parties as well as third party participation audits of Lionsgate's distribution of films and television series brought by Producers, Directors, and Talent. Lionsgate is an exciting, fast paced organization and the Contract Compliance & Third Party Audit department provides a unique opportunity to learn many aspects of the company – from production to initial film release and through all downstream channels of distribution such as Home Entertainment, TV and digital streaming (AVOD, SVOD, PVOD). In addition, through the audit process and settlement phase, there are opportunities to understand things such as the economic impact of the streaming landscape and how claims are settled.

Responsibilities
• Perform audit project fieldwork task and activities, such as gathering high volume of data from various systems, costs support, retrieving licenses, and other related activities.

• Reviewing and responding to audit requests.

• Validate claim schedules and other reports for accuracy.

• Provide research and analytical support in responding to audits.

• Work closely with other groups within departments (e.g., Digital Sales, Home Entertainment, TV, Rights Management, Participations, International, Finance, and Legal) on providing sales detail, projections, recoupment status, etc.

• Perform independent analysis of accounting/royalty reports, comparing to actuals.

• Prepare revenue and expense reports and schedules for all types of media.

• Analyze and reconcile participation statements.

• Conduct ad hoc title analysis projects as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor's degree required (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration preferred).

• 1-2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing is a plus.

• Entertainment industry experience strongly preferred.

• SAP G/L, SAP business warehouse or comparable accounting system experience is a plus.

• Highly organized and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines for multiple audit projects at various stages of completion.

• Detail-oriented, without losing sight of the big picture.

• Self-starter, takes initiative with an entrepreneurial approach to taking on new challenges as they arise.

• Demonstrate flexibility to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment with good interpersonal skills.

• Able to read and interpret legal documents and analyze financial reports.

• Strong to expert competency with MS Excel and Word required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Compensation

$66,560 - $68,000
