Summary of Position:
Lionsgate Motion Picture Group is hiring a Director of Inclusive Marketing & Business Strategy to join our Content Inclusion team.
This role is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new team whose mission is to infuse greater diversity, equity, and inclusion into our content slate and business strategy. You will join a team of critical thinkers, disrupters, strategists, and passionate champions of
inclusive change and work in partnership with a broader department of innovators working to meet some of the studio’s biggest challenges.
The Content Inclusion team has an ambitious roadmap to work alongside leaders throughout the company to invest in diverse talent, inside our company and out, and to support diverse storytellers across our industry. Alongside the Head of Inclusive Content, this Director will be a vital and vocal change agent impacting how our industry operates at a time when diverse voices and inclusive stories matter more than ever, to our world and to our bottom line.
Core Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement processes and initiatives for the marketing. sales, and distribution teams team to work with more diverse set of external vendors, suppliers, and partners
• Work with the Data Strategy & Innovation team to build and maintain dashboards to track our progress on our D&I goals across content, marketing, and sales
• Partner with the People & Culture branch of the DS&I team to build a culture of inclusion across Motion Picture Group
• Build relationships with a diverse set of marketing vendors to ensure we can effectively reach all segments of our target audience
• Build and maintain MPG’s relationships with key advocacy organization in the marketing industry who are focused on driving greater diversity & inclusion (AdColor, etc.) and partner on key initiatives
• Track progress on inclusive content OKRs on the marketing & sales side and work cross-functionally to surface and unblock barriers to progress
• Support Head of Inclusive Content in building Lionsgate’s MPG brand as a leader in inclusive marketing & distribution practices
• Partner with the Chief Diversity Officer to develop and execute programs to develop internal talent from diverse and underrepresented communities and build an inclusive culture for all employees
Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of experience in a marketing or sales role at a content, tech, CPG, or advertising company
• Significant project or program management experience, including driving initiatives from idea through execution
• A track record of being a strong champion for diversity and inclusion at prior companies with experience driving inclusive change or leading inclusion-related programs or initiatives within a multi-layered organization
• Deep knowledge of and/or connection to diverse or underrepresented communities and their entertainment consumption habits and insights
• Ability to independently craft a strategy and measurable goals to track progress towards long-term objectives
• Solid understanding of the marketing and/or distribution process for bringing a product to market, whether in entertainment, tech, or CPB
• Experience leading and/or participating in challenging and honest conversations about diversity, equity, inclusion, race, and identity
• Self-starter and ability to drive work independently and with accountability
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

• Excellent organizational and project management skills, including ability to juggle multiple initiatives and prioritize based on urgency and value to the business
• Goal-oriented approach to managing heavy workloads with an eye to prioritizing for the greatest amount of impact
• Ability to independently craft a strategy and measurable goals to track progress towards long-term objectives
• Autonomously drive multiple work streams at once with clear milestones and accountability to various teams across the company
• Highly collaborative with colleagues at all levels of the organization and an understanding that good ideas can come from anywhere
• Strong written and verbal communication skills – is able to communicate clearly and concisely to executives of all levels, with an exceptional attention to detail
