Job Summary – Essential Functions

The Director, Promotions & Entertainment is responsible for developing a high level of entertainment and promotions for IronPigs games and other events.Duties & Responsibilities:

• Developing, planning, scripting, and executing all in-game entertainment and team sponsorship requirements
• Ordering and designing promotional products and giveaways
• Organizing and preparing all relevant information for Game Production and Staff Meetings
• Hiring & managing gameday promotions staff (Mascots, Promotions Crew, 3rd-party entertainers, etc.)
• On-field host during IronPigs home games and other special events.
• Writing nightly game scripts for the PA Announcer, and the front office staff
• Work with internal departments and external vendors to plan and execute “all-inclusive” theme nights for all home games
• Schedule and book entertainment acts or celebrities, while maintaining an annual budget
• Manage and execute a “Street Team” as part of the Team’s marketing/community efforts
• Maintain the highest level of Guest Service as possible with staff and fans while always serving as a positive community representative of the IronPigs organization
• Work alongside our community relations department on mascot handling and community appearances
• Scheduling and preparing all pre-game, in-game and post-game promotions
• Lead the creation of new and entertaining content for all in-park promotions/entertainment and not just between innings or on field.
• Other responsibilities as requested within the Marketing department

Education/Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience working with professional sports in promotions, on-field host, game production. Preferably in Minor League Baseball
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, sport management or a related field from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge, experience, and professional training
