Job Summary/Description:

Arizona's Family is looking for a Feature Reporter/MMJ for our ''Your Life Arizona'' morning lifestyle show. This locally produced show airs Live Monday through Friday, with a taped show airing on Saturday.

This person will be responsible for assisting and/or generating concepts along with content for shoots and segments in relation to both paid and non-paid segments. Required to generate, vet, and pitch multiple feature/lifestyle stories in daily show meetings.
Once the story/feature assignment is determined, the Feature Reporter/MMJ will develop, shoot, write, report, and edit video lifestyle stories from concept to finish. This would include paid and non-paid content. There will be opportunities to work with a videographer. Videography and editing will be necessary skills for the role. Must have the ability to host both paid and non-paid segments as needed.
Opportunities to guest/fill-in host. Will work with the ''Your Life Arizona'', Executive Producer and Producer along with the station's sales department to build revenue-related segments and segments of interest for our lifestyle show audience. The ideal candidate would have experience in news reporting, content creation, show producing, marketing, and/or public relations.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ability to report, produce, coordinate, shoot, and edit own live and recorded remote segments.
• Research, pitch, and accept general reporting assignments from Executive Producers and Producers.
• Ability to go live or via taped segments from events or initiatives on your own as host with clients, guests or community partners on a variety of subjects.
• Attend daily show meetings for Your Life Arizona. Assist Producers with writing and booking of segments.
• Assist producers with ideas and content generation. Research show topics and develop questions for clients, guests, and community partners in coordination with show producers and executive producers.
• Collect information, video, or photos for remote locations and post-production.
• Work comfortably with our sales team and paid clients.
• Comfortable planning and executing non-paid feature/lifestyle content.
• Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines.
• Coordinate and participate in events, either station-sponsored or in coordination with the Your Life Arizona show.
• Ability to guide guests for in-studio or segments during on-site tapings through the appearance process including research, pre-interviews, and live interviews.
• Maintaining a social media presence and assisting with all feature/lifestyle digital content.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Leadership track record in project management, meeting deadlines and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, across departments and partners with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
• Motivated, Self-Starter.
• Writing skills.
• Videography and editing skills required.
• Good business judgment.
• News reporting experience is a plus.
• Must demonstrate strong ad-libbing and interviewing skills.
• Must provide examples of recent work including on-air presentations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and Instagram.
• Drivers License and good driving record are required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
