Job Description
KTLA is looking for a Full-Time ENG/SNG Live Truck Operator that is currently living in or willing to move to the Inland Empire in Southern California. The Live Truck Operator will be responsible for day-to-day ENG operation covering Breaking News and storytelling in the Inland Empire, including Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. We are looking for a top performer that thrives on chasing down breaking news in the Inland Empire. This position is based in the Inland Empire but could be asked to cover other areas in Southern California.

The candidate will be responsible for the photography and editing of news events in a fair, unbiased, and accurate manner. The photographer will edit material to match the script prepared by the reporter, producer, or associate producer using in-house or field locations as needed. They will work with the reporter to get complete stories and suggest ideas on how a story should be edited. They will keep assigned equipment and/or vehicle in good working condition and files all required paperwork. Ability to set up remotes to allow transmission of all forms of media feeds or live-from-the-scene reports back to the station.

REQUIREMENTS: Full-time residency in Riverside County or San Bernardino County, College degree with an emphasis in Communications or Broadcasting required. Minimum of five (5) years experience in Photography, Editing on Adobe Premiere (3) years, and five (5) years experience with ENG/SNG truck operation. Requires a valid California driver's license with a clean driving record, as driving a news vehicle daily to and from stories is an essential part of the daily routine. Detail-oriented, able to follow directions, and the ability to perform duties and make independent decisions under extreme pressure. Business needs may also require individuals to be able to work various shifts and times.
