Lifestyle Show Host

Job Description

Join the KRON 4 team in the world class city of San Francisco! We are searching for a host for our new, hour-long Lifestyle Show that will launch mid-2022. The show is segment and interview based, highlighting events and unique stories here in the Bay Area. This position is responsible for hosting and producing, including enterprising ideas, and creating content that reflects life in Northern California. Requires dynamic anchoring, interviewing and ad-libbing skills along with the ability to shoot and edit as needed. Must have strong editorial judgement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Interview guests in a sometimes non-scripted, lifestyle show environment
• Knowledge of current events, popular culture, and compelling subjects in the Bay Area
• Plan and produce a quality show through creative segments, interviews, and production elements
• Research show topics and develop questions for guests
• Assist producer with writing show segments
• Participate in events - either station sponsored or others - to promote the show
• Participate in presentations to key clients of the show
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in film, photography, television, news, or related field, or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 3 years on-air experience
• Must have the ability to write, shoot and edit
• Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

This is a full-time, non-union, non-exempt position
