Promotions Manager, KNXV/KNXV

Are you proactive, extremely creative, and love to make things look and sound great? If so, ABC15 (KNXV) and Arizona 61 (KASW), the Scripps-owned stations in Phoenix, Arizona are hiring a Promotions Manager to join our award-winning creative services team. We are looking for a top-notch marketing manager who can create multi-platform marketing that appeals to both traditional and new media audiences. The Marketing Manager is responsible for helping to lead day-to-day operations and creative direction for ABC15 and Arizona 61. This creative leader will help manage a team of multi-media producers and execute a strategic plan to increase brand awareness, ratings, and revenue.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Manage a team of multi-media marketing specialists to ensure the highest quality news promotion and multi-media marketing
• Assist in implementing and executing a strategic marketing plan to solidify the brand and recruit viewers
• Ability to write, produce, shoot, and edit effective spots including news image and special reports promos
• Create bold and unique research-driven news image campaigns
• Assist with the implementation of digital and traditional marketing plans
• Perform daily tactical implementation of the station brand, while interpreting research to focus messaging to attract viewers
• Works directly with clients and internal teams
• Foster an environment of inclusion and mentorship with a focus on growing and developing each team member's skillset
• Identify cross promotional opportunities between networks
• Prioritize and implement objectives as new projects and technologies come in
• Act as interim Creative Services Director when needed
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Bachelor's degree in communications and/or marketing or equivalent work experience
• 5 years relevant experience

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Demonstrate a passion for bold and innovative ideas and enjoy working in a team environment as we produce brand-focused campaigns for broadcast and digital audiences
• Must be proficient at non-linear editing skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, able to provide complete follow-through on responsibilities without supervision
• Must be able to manage multiple projects; possess a keen eye for graphics and visual storytelling
• Ability to build relationships at all levels within the department and throughout the organization
