KCBD, NewsChannel 11 produces over 40 hours of news programming a week for the NBC and FOX affiliates in Lubbock, TX. Job Summary/Description:

KCBD has a rare opening at an exciting time for the dominant #1 station in the Lubbock, TX. The News Operations Manager will oversee the improvement of the station's visual and audio broadcast standards, manage equipment, fleet, working closely with news, engineering, and IT teams. The winning candidate will be immediately immersed in the largest technological conversion and facilities upgrade in station history including a new state of the art studio and production area.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
- Hire, train, and manage technical production staff
- Oversee upgrades and conversion of production systems
- Maintain and acquire new camera and studio equipment as needed
- Oversee station's drone and drone compliance
- Oversee news vehicle maintenance
- Coordinate remote production and special projects
- Responsible for lighting in studio and in working newsroom
- Regular testing of production equipment and point person for repairs
- Complete projects as requested by the News Director

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Valid drivers license required
- Minimum three years relevant newsroom or production experience
- Must be able to work overtime, flexible shifts and in various weather conditions
- Able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Team player attitude a must
