Job Summary/Description:

KBJR Television in beautiful Duluth, MN has an opening for a part-time freelance meteorologist position. With the Northland being such an exciting region to forecast, this position will keep you busy and on your toes. You'll serve viewers across northeastern Minnesota, northwestern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. You'll have all the tools you need to deliver everything Mother Nature throws at us.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze data and models and effectively communicate that information to viewers across multiple platforms.
- Accurately forecast and track weather.
- Create social media content.
- Available to work both in studio and in the field
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or equivalent is required
- Knowledge of WSI Max, Avid iNews and Media Composer are preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Broadcast Meteorologist
- Flexible scheduling especially in the event of severe weather.
- Must have exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
