Job Summary/Description:

Northern News Now is looking for a part time Master Control Operator for evenings and weekends. This individual is responsible for monitoring the quality and accuracy of our on-air signals as well as ensuring the transmission meets government regulations and the station's high standards.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor multiple TV channels for on-air signal and quality control
- Perform on-air switching for live events
- Operate recording hardware, satellite receivers and computer based systems
- Prepare and check material for on-air playback via automation system
- Verify all material airing by referencing program logs
- Monitor transmitter and tower lights accurately to meet FCC regulations
- Anticipate and troubleshoot issues when they occur
- Ability to make fast and accurate judgements
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- College production courses preferred
- Previous experience with production or Master Control preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Computer literate and technically oriented
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
