Job Description

KARK 4 is looking for an Associate Producer to manage guest bookings and in-studio needs for our 1-hour lifestyle show, Arkansas Style. The show is segment and interview-based, highlighting community events, interesting people, and local businesses. The right candidate will be a people person, who is able to find and book, engaging, entertaining, and informative guest. The Associate Producer collaborates with various departments, including Sales, Production, and Creative Services. This person must be detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure. This is a part-time position.
• JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Help produce entertaining and informative show, including paid segments.
• Source, contact and book guests for the show.
• Manage the calendar for on-air guest and on-location shoots.
• Pre-interview guests, research topics/guests and provide hosts and staff with research materials.
• Work with the Sales Department, and/or clients to integrate client-sponsored content in the show.
• Manage the needs in the studio during the show.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Basic editing skills
• Familiarity with iNews, Premier, and basic videography/editing skills is a plus.
• Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Minimum one year experience in news operations (Depending on market size)
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
