THE ROLE
Insomniac is looking for a Senior Event Accountant to support various critical operations including, close, reporting and analysis, audit support, forecasting expenses and analyzing show settlements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong accounting background, strong communication skills and be very well organized. This position reports to the Manager, Event Accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate with FP&A department to validate event actuals in accordance with post-show forecast in event Budget Master
• Prepare journal entries in Oracle including intercompany activity, show settlements, accruals, and reclasses for Insomniac-produced and co-promoted concerts
• Review and prepare journal entries for third-party ticketing, F&B, and merch customer settlements for Insomniac-produced concerts
• Prepare monthly reconciliation and analyze variances for post-show forecast vs actuals for each event
• Upload show revenue and expenses into internal reporting software
• Perform month-end close tasks in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements
• Assist with ad projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• 3+ years of experience of accounting experience
• Advanced technical skills, including Excel and ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP and add on reporting software.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
