The Role and What You'll Do:
Manager, Golf Events
IMG Events are searching for an enthusiastic, hardworking, individual to join the IMG Golf Team as Manager, Golf Events to work primarily on one of the biggest professional sporting events in the Middle East, the Saudi International powered by SBIA.
Reporting into the VP, Golf Events, the successful candidate will have had previous experience in an event management role and have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the KSA event industry. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves sports and wants to work on one of the country's premier events.
• Work alongside the London and regional event team to deliver a world class golf tournament.
• Research suitable suppliers and contractors for event requirements (i.e. transportation, accommodation, accreditation, caterers, vendors, etc.)
• Support the wider event team in arranging hotel accommodation, Visa's, transportation, event tickets and related programme elements.
• Supporting the Event Director maintain planning documents and schedule of the week.
• Track and monitor the allocation of tickets, passes and hospitality programmes.
• Support the team in the production and circulation of all guest communications including invitations, welcome letters, and event schedules.
• Assist with creating a number of print collateral items to be distributed to various groupings involved with the event – programme, draw sheets, player information guides etc.
• Management of the IMG guest management system.
• Participate in bi-weekly status calls with event team.
• Responsible for organising meetings and taking minutes from meetings, following up with agenda points, if required.
• Working alongside the Event Director, to create and distribute the bi-weekly report to the internal team.
• Assist the EMEA strategic partnership team based in Dubai with sponsor research and sponsor /partner servicing
• Carry out supportive tasks to facilitate smooth day-to-day administrative tasks.
• Assist the events team on any bespoke events (e.g. Media Days, Promotional Activities) pre-event planning, onsite and post event.
• Assist with the preparation of post-event reports, mid-year and year-end reports for distribution to the client and internal review.
• Support in the post-event guest communication including reports, sharing of photos, feedback forms and any additional information requests.
Government Liaison
• IMG's representation with government authorities within Saudi Arabia, including the Ministry of Sport.
• Managing all shipments in and out of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia for event operations.
• Organise and secure all necessary visas for employees and guests attending the event.
• Obtain all licenses required for holding a successful event in Saudi Arabia.
Partnerships
• Manage a number of high-profile partner accounts for the event.
• Research and support the sales director with outreach to new brands within the market.
You Have These:
• Demonstrate/established experience in operations
• Demonstrate some experience in event management
• Detailed knowledge of Saudi Arabian culture and working practices
• An understanding of sport marketing and sponsorship activation
• Prior experience in the sport or golf industry is desired
• Experience in end-to-end project management is desired

Working Conditions:
• This is a permanent position based in Jeddah/KAEC, KSA
• Working hours are 9:00 – 17:00, Sunday to Thursday
• Occasional travel/weekend work may be required
