Hulu's search backend team is seeking a Software Developer who will be an outstanding addition to our team. As a SDE in search team, you will build a high performance, large scale online search engine. You will also have chance to use cutting edge machine learning algorithms to improve user experience. The right person for this role are talents who have proven programming skills in high performance online service development. If you are self-motivated and passionate about the modern machine learning algorithm in information retrieving, then this is a great role for you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Design and develop infrastructure that powers the search functionality for Hulu web site and various clients.
• Develop large scale and high throughput backend online services to support new features.
• Collaborate with researchers to implement machine learning algorithms in online services.
• Collaborate with program managers and product managers in an open and creative environment.

WHAT TO BRING
• BS or MS in computer science, EE or other related fields.
• 4+ Years working experience on search online service development, machine learning algorithm implementation, NLP algorithms. Experience in high throughput services is highly preferred.
• Experience on Lucene, Elastic Search, Hive, Tensorflow, Redis, MySQL
• Familiarity with Java, Python, C++ or any other OOP language.
• Excellent communication skills. Chinese Mandarin proficiency is required.

NICE-TO-HAVES
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Good written and oral skills in English
