Senior Software Developer - Web

Job Description

Hulu's Web team is seeking a Sr. Software Developer with a passion for developing performant, highly available, consumer-facing experiences using modern web technologies. Our team collaborates with both technical and non-technical teams to deliver engaging experiences for our subscribers. As a developer on Hulu's Web Subscriber Experience team, you'll build and deploy the core content discovery and playback UI experience used by millions of viewers. WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Develop software & infrastructure that powers the Hulu.com content discovery and playback UI experience
• Partner with the UX design team to transform mock-ups into viewer-first web experiences
• Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure we're building the right features for our viewers
• Support and mentor developers through code reviews, knowledge-sharing, and technical leadership

WHAT TO BRING
• Deep knowledge of web technologies and web systems architecture
• Strong passion for building sophisticated web applications that are performant, secure, and highly-available
• 5+ years developing large, well-tested JavaScript applications
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

NICE-TO-HAVES
• Experience shipping a production React/Node.js application at scale
• Experience with developing and deploying applications on a cloud platform (AWS)
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience working with Agile methodologies
• Solid understanding of web accessibility fundamentals
