Temporary Events Manager, CL Fair
The Temporary Events Manager will be an integral part of our Country Living Fair team, working closely with the editorial team, vendors, and fairgrounds staff to ensure a seamless and successful event. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant, well-loved brand and engage with our passionate audience.
Resonsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Country Living Editorial Team to understand the vision and goals for the fair.
• Manage vendor logistics, including booth assignments, contracts, and communication.
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of the fair, ensuring a smooth process.
• Coordinate with the fairgrounds team to address any site-related issues or requirements.
• Help develop and implement a comprehensive event schedule, including speaker sessions and demonstrations.
• Handle on-site event management, ensuring a positive experience for attendees and vendors.
• Address any last-minute changes or challenges with a calm and professional demeanor.
• Collect and analyze post-event feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Assist with post-event reporting and provide recommendations for future fairs.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in event management or a related field.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
• A creative mindset with an eye for detail and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing event requirements and last-minute adjustments.
• A positive and professional attitude, even under pressure.
• Knowledge of the latest event industry trends and best practices.
The base salary for this role is between $50/hr. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
