Temporary Designer, Oprah Daily
Oprah Daily is seeking a creative and organized temporary Contributing Designer to help produce our upcoming print travel issue as well as contributing to daily digital design needs across oprahdaily.com and social platforms.
Resonsibilities:
• Design and execute layouts for the print issue, collaborating closely with art, editorial, photo, and production teams
• Support daily digital design needs, including social posts, templated story assets, and occasional collage illustrations
• Help translate editorial concepts into strong, on-brand visual packages
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Assist with color markup and review
Qualifications:
• Proven editorial design experience, ideally within travel, lifestyle, or wellness brands
• Strong print design skills, with an understanding of how print and digital work together
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Experience working in Figma preferred
• Experience marking up images for retouching and color correcting preferred
• Excellent typography, layout, and visual storytelling instincts
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Comfortable working on-site in a collaborative editorial environment
The base salary for this role is $70/hr. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
