Job Description
Your impact:VERANDA is seeking a style, market, & commerce editor with strong photo shoot styling and production skills and a keen eye for visual storytelling, specifically when it comes to product and flowers. This role will pitch and produce photo product- and floral-based photo shoots, cover style & design markets, and create style, market, and commerce content across all VERANDA platforms, including newsletters and membership workshops and demonstrations. Strong time management and organization skills are essential, as well as an ability to liaise with external brand contacts, from public relations and advertisers to artisans and creators. This position will report to the Style & Market Director, Rachael Burrow.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Style & Market Director, Creative Director, EIC, and Deputy Editor, Digital to pitch and plan style, market, and commerce content across all platforms
• Produce product, flower, and entertaining photo shoots across all platforms
• Cover style & design markets, which includes travel
• Create style and commerce content for veranda.com. Write and contribute to style demos, trend reports, market roundups, and product descriptions for digital and social content, including newsletters and membership workshops
• Establish and maintain relationships with PR contacts, designers, artisans, makers, and floral designers
• Establish and maintain relationships with advertising partners, including by participating in advertiser-supported trade events when needed
• Monitor the luxury landscape for the next big trends
Qualifications:
• 4-5 years of luxury and/or design media or related editorial experience
• Experience producing photo shoots for print, digital, and social media
• Team player who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments with a passion for decorating, style, and floral design
• Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills, specifically positivity, poise, and professionalism
• Experience with on-camera content production is a major plus
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or other relevant area
The base salary for this role $62,310. The base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
