The Role
Reporting to the Design Director, you will be at the heart of our Fashion & Luxury team's digital innovation. Collaborating closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Editorial teams, you will drive user-centered design strategies that enhance our digital media offerings, boost engagement metrics such as increase to pages per session and video views per page view, and unlock new revenue opportunities.
Resonsibilities:
What You'll Do:
• Design Strategy & Execution: Develop immersive, monetizable design solutions-from initial concept through to final execution-partnering with engineers to ensure pixel-perfect, performant implementation across devices.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to align design strategies with business goals. Work with editorial teams to craft compelling storytelling experiences and redesigns for top brands.
• User Research & Testing: Lead user research initiatives, including interviews and usability tests, to inform design decisions and refine user flows.
• Prototyping & Accessibility: Create interactive prototypes using Figma, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript while ensuring designs meet accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG 2.0 Level A/AA) for our global audience.
• Innovative Technologies: Embrace AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows and improve consumer-facing experiences.
• Design Systems: Leverage and contribute to our front-end design system, ensuring consistency and quality across platforms. While utilizing the design system foundations, ensure that every product interface reflects the brand's design ethos, thereby enhancing user recognition and experience.
• Mentorship: Guide and inspire junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity, data-driven design, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
Who You Are:
• Experience: 5+ years in user-centered design with a proven record of enhancing user satisfaction and engagement.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in visual design, layout, typography, and the development of complex user flows that cover diverse scenarios. Design responsive, adaptive interfaces that shine across mobile, tablet, and desktop, balancing luxury aesthetics with technical precision.
• Tools: Expertise in Figma and familiarity with prototyping methods, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) or collaborative workflows (e.g., Jira) a plus.
• Accessibility: Strong understanding of accessibility standards and a commitment to inclusive design practices.
• Collaborative: Enjoys working in an interdisciplinary team environment and values teamwork. Experience collaborating with editorial teams to align content with creative vision and business objectives, ensuring audience engagement.
• Innovative: Embraces prototyping and testing to continuously improve design solutions.
• Growth-Oriented: Possesses a growth mindset and is always eager to learn and adopt new techniques.
• Data-Driven: Uses research and analytics to inform design decisions and create measurable improvements in user engagement.
The base salary for this role is between $116,000-$140,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
