Job Description
The Product, Design & Engineering (PDE) team at Hearst Magazines is looking for a Senior Product Analyst. As a Senior Product Analyst, you play a crucial role in shaping our products by transforming data into insights that inform our decision-making process. Your analytical skills, curiosity, and passion for data-driven solutions are key in driving our product strategy and enhancing user experiences.

Resonsibilities:

• Collect, process, and clean data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Develop and manage databases, data collection systems, and data analytics platforms.
• Prepare reports and dashboards that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders across the organization.
• Analyze and interpret complex relationships within datasets through advanced data analysis techniques, going beyond standard metrics and interpreting trends, patterns, variances, and influential factors.
• Act as a data guide and teacher, assisting teams in making better data-driven decisions.
• Assist in developing consistent methods for tracking product health metrics, identifying root causes for product issues, and addressing gaps in data.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to inform product strategy, define success metrics, and improve user outcomes.
• Proactively integrate industry trends and best practices in data and web analytics to inform stakeholders about the evolving data landscape and deliver strategic recommendations.
• Lead data strategy projects, guiding the organization towards accurate tracking and collection of new user data and behavior metrics.
• Visualize and present data in a compelling manner, making it easy for stakeholders to understand and act upon.
• Design, deliver, and maintain reports encompassing diverse data sets.

Qualifications:
• You have 5+ years of experience in web and mobile product analysis
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work with engineers and product managers on tracking implementation of new features and experiments
• Deep knowledge of Google Analytics, Looker/Looker Studio, Domo, or other content analytics and BI tools.
• Proficient in SQL and experienced in working with multiple, disparate data sets.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into easily digestible insights for non-analytical audiences.
• Familiarity with consumer facing or user experience focused products.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with tracking and collecting product health metrics for web and mobile applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and root causes

The base salary for this role is between $129,000 and $150,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
