Job Description
Your Impact:

Hearst Magazines (publishers of brands such as Cosmopolitan, Elle, Esquire, Good Housekeeping and Delish) is seeking a dynamic Senior Marketing Manager to help drive strategic ad sales marketing efforts across the portfolio. The role will focus on multi-title, editorial-led, sponsorable initiatives that lean into mission-driven communication pillars including multiculturalism, sustainability, and so forth. The job reports to the Vice President of Industry Marketing and Ad Communications and will also work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and sales leadership across the company.

The mandate in this role is to apply strategic thinking and knowledge of capabilities across digital, social, video, print and experiential platforms to create best-in-class opportunities that build on Hearst's powerful editorial voices in ways that allow for advertiser partnership. The emphasis will be on category- and brand-agnostic messaging that speaks to shared values of diversity, equity and inclusion, to elevating voices across the cultural spectrum, to providing important information and opportunities to a broad audience, and to positioning Hearst and its ad partners as social and cultural leaders.

This is a critical role that requires a generalist – someone who can write well, work pro-actively and independently, manage varied tasks, and project manage with dexterity, thoroughness, and attention to detail. Importantly, as this role resides in the business division, success will be measured by the rate of success in selling advertising partnerships.

What You'll Do:
• Work with editorial and sales/marketing teams to Ideate, develop and pitch big-picture mission-driven opportunities for the world's top advertisers
• Project manage the development of pitch decks, gathering and disseminating information as needed and monitoring timelines
• Identify opportunities, ad products, and internal and external partnerships that will drive client conversations and advertiser spend
• Attend client meetings to pitch as needed
• Act as internal point person for gathering and dissemination of information and opportunities in the mission-driven, editorial sponsorship-leaning space across the Magazine division
• Stay abreast of the marketplace, closely monitoring competition as well as innovations in the media space

Who You Are:
• Excellent writer who can communicate creative ideas in a clear, concise, vivid and engaging manner
• Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the media industry and Hearst's brands, with strong understanding of digital, video, social and print media
• Ability to think creatively
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong organization, prioritization and time management skills
• Ability to confidently interface with senior-level stakeholders
• Highly entrepreneurial - a self-starter who enjoys managing projects independently
• Strong proposal design skills (preferably in Keynote)
• Minimum five years of experience in media marketing or related industry

The base salary for this role is between $74,000 and $90,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
