Job Description
Your Impact:

Hearst Magazines is seeking a Salesforce Developer to help continually improve and enhance our Salesforce platform. As a member of the Information Technology team, supporting Salesforce and other applications, this individual will collaborate with various teams in this vital role. We would like the candidate to have prior experience that includes direct management and maintenance responsibilities of a SF Sales Cloud org. The candidate should also have experience working with Salesforce capabilities and constraints of the application. The team is looking for a candidate with good relationship building skills and communication skills. This position is based in New York City and reports to the Director of IT Enterprise Applications. Qualifications:

Who You Are:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information services degree with knowledge of at least one other object-oriented language (Java, C#).
• Completed training in Salesforce administration certification and at minimum Platform Developer 1.
• 3 -4 years of experience having reached a level of Senior Administrator/Developer in a similar environment.
• Demonstrated success leveraging the declarative tool set to develop and debug custom solutions .
• Good knowledge of SOQL.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce Lightning, including migration from ''Classic'' to Lightning .
• Well versed in Salesforce.com best practices, governor limits and functionality.
• Demonstrated command of the Salesforce security model (design and troubleshooting), specifically Org Wide Access, Roles, Profile and Sharing Rules.
• Good knowledge of application navigation, user interface setup, user setup and management, triggers, validation rules, field customizations.
• Proficient with data analysis, manipulation and transformation, data cleansing and import of data into Salesforce.com using SF Data loader .
• Intermediate to advanced data manipulation tool experience. Number oriented and strong attention to details .
• Good listening, communication (verbal and written) and strong presentation skills .
• Publishing/Media experience is a plus.
