Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Product Analyst to join the Hearst Magazines Product & Technology Team. In this role, you will provide data-driven product/business insights and serve as a strategic thought partner to our product teams.
You will develop a consistent method to track product health metrics to drive our planning for our product tracks, identify likely root causes for key product data gaps (using quantitative and qualitative data), and present recommendations to address them.
You will collect, quantify, and prioritize product-related challenges to be considered by product and engineering in future development, and up-level the understanding of how our readers are using our sites in the real world.

What You'll Do:
• Identify, source, clean, and prepare data for analysis.
• Visualize and present data in such a way that make it easy to understand and tell a compelling story.
• Present findings and recommendations to management and other key stakeholders as needed.
• Support the access of data that allows the delivery of a product that is timely, accurate, and complete.
Qualifications:

• Highly collaborative with the ability to inspire others and push through barriers.
• Cross-functional and stakeholder exposure and management.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical investigation skills.
• Advanced SQL to extract, manipulate and model data (required).
• Hands-on experience with a/b testing and/or multivariate testing tools and statistics, used to optimize consumer experiences.
• Working knowledge of visualization tools and methods, and business intelligence tools, including Looker.
• Proven ability to work with engineers and product managers on OKRs and tracking implementation of new features and experiments.
This is a hybrid position with 3 days in office per week located in our New York, NY office.
The base salary for this role is between $116,000-$120,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
