Your Impact:

As the Manager of Audience and Newsletters for Hearst Magazines you will be working within the Email Marketing team focused on growing, engaging and monetizing the email universe. This position will execute strategic email initiatives across top magazine brands including: Bestproducts.com, Bicycling, Car and Driver, Country Living, Cosmopolitan, Delish, Elle, Elle Décor, Esquire, Good Housekeeping, Harper's Bazaar, House Beautiful, Marie Claire, Prevention, Popular Mechanics, Road & Track, Town & Country, Veranda, Woman's Day, Men's Health, Women's Health and Runner's World. They will report to the Director, Email Marketing. What you'll do:

The Manager of Audience and Newsletters responsibilities will include:
• Own non-membership newsletter strategy, partnering with Edit, Ad Sales and other Consumer Revenue Stakeholders to optimize engagement and increase revenue.
• Manage, track, and optimize all e-mail lead gen activity across owned and paid media sources
• Develop new partnerships to grow newsletter list and scale revenue of email programs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new opportunities to further monetize email channel
• Manage the day-to-day vendor relationship of our ESP and lead generation partners
• Set best practices and communicate insights around list maintenance, welcome and re-engagement series, and testing framework
• Collaborate with brand editors to determine the best deployment strategy by site and empower them with the tools to manage their newsletters and implement new designs
• Manage the preference center flow and creation of new lists
• Develop and maintain reporting dashboards for senior management, closely tracking KPIs
• Manage and develop 3-direct reports

Who you are:
• You have at least 4 years of e-mail marketing experience
• You have a deep understanding of e-mail best practices, deliverability, testing strategies, segmentation, and legalities (CAN-SPAM, CCPA, GDPR)
• You have hands-on experience with an ESP (Sailthru preferred)
• Excellent analytical skills to develop actionable strategies
• Experience with co-registration sweepstakes (DojoMojo experience a plus)
• Experience with lead generation partners
• Experience managing budgets
• Google Analytics or related Web analytics experience
• Working knowledge of HTML
• Detailed knowledge of MS office suite
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in lifestyle editorial is a plus
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience managing a team preferred
