Fixed Assets Analyst
Reports To:
Director of Finance – South Region
This position will be responsible for financial aspects and the management of the life cycle of Fixed Assets from acquisition to disposition/retirement for all Hearst Television stations. The position will be located at the Hearst Television, Inc South Region finance office in Orlando.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage fixed assets additions in conjunction with those responsible for capital projects at the stations – monitor/manage the compilation of project costs against budget, coding, tagging of assets and activation of finalized projects
• Review related purchase requisitions for proper coding and monitor invoice processing
• Reconcile all related financial ledgers and prepare/post journals as necessary
• Prepare reporting necessary for capital project tracking, month end close, forecasting, budgeting, long-range plan, year-end reporting and property tax reporting activities
• Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management
• Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, forms and reports for the fixed assets life cycle
Qualification Requirements:
• 3 years of accounting/finance experience preferred
• Previous experience with asset tracking preferred
• Excellent analytical skills - detail oriented
• Ability to set priorities, self-start and organize for deadline management
• Outstanding Microsoft Excel skill with ability to use Power Query and SmartView a plus
• Experience with Oracle applications, specifically the Projects Module, a plus
• Ability to learn software, including Oracle, Cognos BI or proprietary programs, as necessary
• Ability to interact/communicate appropriately and effectively with many customers (composed/professional, customer focused, problem solver, great interpersonal skill)
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
