Job Description
KETV, the ABC affiliate in Omaha, NE, is looking for an Broadcast Technologist to join our station. You will help oversee the IT operations at our station and work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment. You will report to the Director of Engineering and will be responsible for managing and maintaining the local area network utilizing leading edge infrastructure and systems, including Cisco Nexus, Cisco UCS, VMware, DELL/EMC VNXe & Isilon, and CISCO VoIP. You will support specialized on-air broadcast systems; news, graphics and sales production systems, and associated end user systems support. This is a hands-on position in a mid-sized news-oriented broadcast television environment.
Responsibilities:
• Windows OS installation and support
• Provide technical guidance and support to end users
• Office 365 production suite installation/support
• System & Application installation/updates
• Broadcast Infrastructure maintenance and support
• Browser configuration and support
• Imaging and systems deployment
• Windows Server OS maintenance
• Basic LAN/WAN connectivity experience
• Active Directory experience in a domain environment
Requirements:
• Desktop OS proficiency & understanding
• Systems connectivity & functionality
• Mobile device knowledge and support
• Broadcast Applications knowledge
• Advanced troubleshooting / analytical skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and skill in prioritizing issues
• Security awareness & preventative efforts
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in IT
• 2+ years' experience in the broadcast environment
• Good analytical & technical problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with constant deadlines
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, positive attitude, team player
• Maintain Corporate Standards, Policies, and Procedures
• MTA – Fundamentals of IT, MTA – IT Infrastructure preferred
• In-person attendance is required
