Hearst Magazines International's digital strategy team provides strategic, growth-focused insight for and ensures transparent collaboration across our global businesses in content strategy, product, commerce, membership, and analytics. The Associate Director, Digital Strategy brings significant digital experience across multiple areas-from content and distribution to audience acquisition and retention to affiliate and other commerce initiatives-to help build and align long-term growth strategies and empower our local markets to achieve them. The Associate Director will balance the needs of the overall group while also recognizing and prioritizing specific local requirements on the roadmap. Each market has digital objectives and priorities, and this role will build strong relationships in market and centrally to ensure the success of all teams.

What You'll Do
• Provide strategic guidance across owned channels such as email, social and to scale audience development best practices in line with business objectives
• Build strong relationships with central stakeholders and local experts and leaders across, product, data, CRM and commerce. Be the expert and partner in each of these key areas to ensure Hearst is innovative and competitive in each.
• Partner with stakeholders and local teams on launching our global membership proposition, overseeing how markets leverage our best-in-class content to acquire and retain subscribers:
• Leverage data insights to develop unique marketing strategies to grow the HMI membership base
• Champion testing and experimentation in pursuit of driving growth and user engagement
• Monitor ongoing campaigns, working with local teams to ensure goals are met
• Ensure media budgets are delivering against business goals, including re-evaluating the media mix when needed and understanding the effectiveness/profitability of channels.
• Identify new opportunities to drive the business forward - i.e., new markets, emerging digital platforms, potential media partnerships, uncovering general business efficiencies - that increase revenue and profitability
• Partner with stakeholders to craft business cases to support growth opportunities, help oversee rollout and track success
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and new technologies impacting the digital space

Who You Are
• 5-7+ years of relevant digital experience within a results-driven role
• Understanding digital commerce subscription and ecommerce landscape
• Experience working in paid media channels - paid search, social, display, and affiliate – as well as owned channels
• Proven success in running end-to-end marketing performance marketing campaigns.
• ROI-driven, digital-centric capabilities with the ability to anticipate media consumption trends and emerging opportunities
• Excellent planning, problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and resolve challenges through innovative, strategic recommendations
• Ability to prioritize and manage projects independently and see them through completion in order to hit deadlines appropriately
• Communicative and collaborative, someone who likes being part of a team
• Strong analytic skills

The base salary for this role is between $85,000 and $100,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
