Sr. Manager, Finance (HBO Max)

Your New Role

This position in the Program Finance group is responsible for providing financial analysis on the HBO Max streaming service.. Responsibilities include review of monthly programming expense forecast and annual programming expense Budget and Long-Range Plan. This includes aggregation of amortization and interest expense, cash flow projections, regular pacing schedule updates, analysis of variances, and preparation of presentation materials under tight timelines.
Other responsibilities include presentation of results and providing finance and business guidance to Acquisitions and Content Management Strategy senior leadership teams, ad hoc acquisition modeling for licensed content, maintenance of hourly volume details with the content management strategy team, managing intracompany transactions between the linear networks and HBO Max for senior leader of Corporate Finance (SVOD revenue, participations, residuals, and associated HBO Max amortization that impact eliminating forecasts/actuals), and working with the data analytics team on cost per stream efficiency models for seasons of licensed content. This position must communicate, coordinate, and resolve details often between other groups (Film Management Operations, Acquisitions, Content Strategy, Network Finance and Accounting Business Services).

The position will require attention to detail and significant analysis due to the volume and complexity of transactions occurring within acquired programming.

Your Role Accountabilities
• Ongoing budget and forecast management of P&L and Cash Flow details for HBO Max acquired programming, includes content volume analysis and tracking, includes acquisition greenlight support
• Interface with Acquisitions/Content Management Senior Leadership team to understand programming detail changes – impacting forecast
• Ad hoc deal forecasting/modeling based on prospective acquisitions
• Support for corporate eliminations on sales of programming between intercompany segments to HBO Max
• Lead on data review with Data Analytics team – which provides executive reporting to head of HBO Max

Qualifications & Experience
• 6-8 years of relevant experience
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Cash flow experience
• Variance analysis
• Undergraduate in accounting or finance
• Financial modeling (Excel etc)
• Systems background
• Strong communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Programming and entertainment background desired

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $90,860.00 - $168,740.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
