The Job

WarnerMedia seeks a Senior Accountant for the Global Business Services department.

The Content and Other revenue team is responsible for recording ancillary revenues and expenses for all WM segments. This position is responsible for HBO Home Entertainment.

The Daily
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities
• Process revenue files uploads in Oracle
• Prepare complex journal entries
• Prepare account reconciliations and analysis
• Prepare P&L and BS close packages
• Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure proper internal controls are in place and all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP
• Build, foster, and maintain good working relationships with members of Global Business Services and stakeholders
• Prepare quarterly schedule reporting and tax packages

The Essentials
• 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance
• Revenue experience is a plus
• Masters' degree and / or CPA is preferred
• 4+ years in relevant accounting experience (industry or public)
• Experience leading teams and / or projects is preferred
• Senior accountants should have advanced analytical and Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to articulate key information.
• Self-motivated and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
• Initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities
• High emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, data analysis, and process innovation
• Detail-oriented and high energy
• Unceasing curiosity and the courage to challenge the status quo.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word & PowerPoint is preferred
• Oracle, PeopleSoft Financials, Hyperion, or any ERP systems
• Media industry experience is a plus
