The Job

WarnerMedia Ottawa is looking for a Manager, Software Development-Offshore Team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering this role will support our offsite team and help bring HBO Max and WarnerMedia DTC services to new audiences, ensuring an immersive experience that puts customers first.

The Daily
• Work effectively to manage an offsite team in a different time zone (GMT+2)
• Coordinate offsite training, mentoring and development along with other core teams working mainly in Ottawa
• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with product management and stakeholders
• Work together with product management to plan and execute releases, while ensuring teams have appropriate product and technical specifications and direction
• Implement and encourage Agile Technical Practices
• Work with the team to de-risk technical dependencies in advance of execution
• Provide data which reflects the current state and progress of work
• Typical ratio for this role would be 10-15 reports

The Essentials
• You have 9+ years software development experience
• You have 5+ years' experience with people and or technical leadership
• You have owned the end-to-end process for product release
• You are an Agile Development Expert
• You have the ability, to work as a hands-on technical leader when needed
• You have experience delivering a scope of technical deliverables within an agreed schedule
