The Job
The DevOps Engineer will primarily support of Continuous Integration (CI) efforts for HBO DTC projects based in the EU and also support the existing HBO GO infrastructures, until end of their life, replacing to HBO Max, and assist with CI support for non-EU based HBO DTC work where possible.

The Day-to-Day

Perform technical troubleshooting, incident and problem resolution for pipeline-related support issues

Build and test pilot versions for new and changing services

Build and Deliver based on Scrum/Sprint based agile development methodologies

Identify new opportunities for improvements and communicate to the Build and Deploy team for triage

Support a suite of Build and Deploy tools provided to development teams for use in their day-to-day development activities
Ongoing technical skillset and personal development, research and development.

Serving in an on-call rotation.

The Essentials

2 years of providing Level 1 support in a global network operations environment

Extensive experience in support and on-call environments

5+ years of engineering experience in an enterprise IT environment, having performed operational and break/fix activity along with engineering and design

4+ years of experience with AWS, including but not limited to experience with Lambdas, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS, API Gateway, S3, Cognito, Container services (ECS, EKS, Fargate), CloudWatch, CloudFormation, IAM, VPC, or equivalent experience with Microsoft Azure

Experience in infrastructure as a code approach. Preferably Terraform and/or CloudFormation

Substantial experience developing solutions leveraging serverless technology, API and services development

Substantial experience working with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment environments like Jenkins and Azure DevOps

Substantial experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub and other development and collaboration tools

Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Must be able to pay close attention to complex detail and understand written and oral instructions

Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively

Must be able to work well under time constraints

Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned

Must be service-oriented

Must be able to work independently

Must be able to work flexible hours, including possible overtime, when necessary
