Job Description
Senior Designer (6 Months Contract) - Maternity Leave Cover

• Work across our DTC product HBO Max, delivering high quality creative assets that are on brand and strategically aligned.
• Produce exceptional hands-on design work across campaigns, digital platforms and internal platform creative for merchandising and product.
• Interpret briefs clearly and translate them into engaging visual solutions across multiple mediums and formats.
• Bring a strong cinematic eye and high level of audiovisual craft to all creative. Maintaining brand consistency by applying brand style guides and global toolkits accurately for local use.
• Collaborate closely with the HBO Max global creative teams to adapt and implement global assets for ANZ.
• Provide local insights to global partners and ensure timely rollout of materials, guidelines and updates.
• Localise global creative in a way that maintains brand integrity while enhancing relevance for ANZ audiences.
• Create visual merchandising assets that support content discovery, curation and editorial strategy across Home, Rails, Hubs, Collections and title surfaces.
• Work across platform specific aspect formats, ensuring artwork is optimised for clarity, emotional impact and for improved engagement.
• Support weekly, seasonal and priority content rotations, aligning creative with content strategy and programming beats.
• Understand the end-to-end content supply chain, including artwork specs, metadata dependencies and delivery requirements.
• Partner with Performance Marketing and Product teams to refine creative based on insights, behavioural patterns and campaign learnings.
Team & Resource Management
• Work collaboratively with APAC design team Support workflow planning, resource allocation and prioritisation across designers and freelancers.
• Ensure effective collaboration between design and In Stream, Merchandising, Marketing, Publicity, Product and Performance Marketing teams.
• Assist integration of AI tools and evolving creative method across internal teams and contribute to continuous improvement of ways of working.
• Collaborate and support creative alignment across APAC creative teams.

• Communicate ideas with clarity and confidence, presenting creative thinking, negotiating solutions and documenting guidelines that support consistent execution.
Qualities Required
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud with clear expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects.
• Excellent design, layout and composition skills across motion, digital and platform formats.
• Ability to create high impact artwork that cuts through in crowded streaming environments.
• Strong understanding of how creative drives user behaviour within a streaming ecosystem, including emotional triggers, clarity hierarchy and platform constraints.
• Awareness of UI/UX considerations and how artwork functions across devices and surfaces.
• Comfortable working with insights, performance data and testing frameworks to optimise creative outcomes.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and delivery discipline.
• Ability to work confidently with global stakeholders while advocating for local needs.
