It is where our exclusive HBO Max Originals and iconic entertainment brands thrive, with HBO, Warner Bros., DC, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network and more delivering the greatest array of series, movies and specials for audiences of all ages. The platform launched in the United States in May 2020 and introduced a lower priced, advertising-supported tier in June 2021. HBO Max began its global rollout launching in markets across Latin America and the Caribbean last summer, followed by its first European launches in the Nordics and Spain in the fall. Currently available in 46 countries, there are plans for continued expansion of HBO Max in 2022.

The Job

As the Sr. Manager, Growth Marketing Strategy, you will drive the growth strategy for HBO Max by unlocking audience-based learnings across all facets of the streaming service and marketing touchpoints that directly impact HBO Max's ability to hit revenue and subscriber targets. You will be responsible for driving consumer segmentation on and off platform, setting achievable audience penetration goals for marketing, identifying opportunities to increase reach and frequency, working with each lead on cross-functional implementation, and ensuring the consumer segmentation strategy aligns with HBO Max's holistic subscription goals.

The Daily
• Manage complex audience workstreams across media and Data Science teams, setting goals, and building frameworks with regular information sharing cadences.
• Define and execute on a full-funnel customer segmentation strategy in market across all media platforms Digital and OOH. Align audience strategy on a quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis, linking to HBO Max's subscription goals.
• Set KPI audience frameworks for each part of the marketing funnel to ensure cross-functional marketing teams are working toward measurable goals and HBO Max's overall targets.
• Leverage data science tools to understand and define on-platform audiences based on viewership behavior and taste clusters. Use insights to inform in market audience targeting and testing.
• Work cross-functionally to understand audience investment costs across the full marketing funnel to determine incrementality in investment decisions.
• Cross functionally develop lifetime values for consumers by audience and apply learnings to full-funnel investment strategy aligning to different content periods/genres.
• Work with cross functional teams to incorporate channel-level insights into overarching segmentation work including audience penetration rates and points of saturation.
• Operationalize learnings and strategy across the functional leads to ensure cross-funnel alignment, handoff, and measurability.
• Brainstorm new processes to eliminate marketing's blind spots when it comes to customer segmentation and enhance the team's data-based decision making.
• Communicate insights to executive stakeholders; disseminate key findings to all HBO Max Marketing stakeholders and relevant cross-functional teams.

The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree from a top university, graduate degree preferred.
• 6-7+ years experience in analytics and insights, focusing on the media and/or technology sectors. SVOD Streaming experience is a plus.
• Ability to leverage data to make informed strategic decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and audience-based tools to make informed strategic decisions (mParticle, Merkle, Google Analytics, FB Audience builder, etc).
• Python or R experience a plus.
• Strong background in presenting complex data to an executive audience (PowerPoint, Google Suite of Products).
• Self starter temperament; quick to identify problems and provide solutions.
• An understanding of the changing entertainment landscape and how telecom, technology and entertainment are redefining the space.
• Ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally at all levels, utilizing exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience managing people and complex processes
