Director, International Programming

The Job

The Director aides in developing local language content from outside the US often in partnership with HBO Max regional offices. This includes but is not limited to reviewing International acquisitions, reading, and evaluating local language bibles, scripts, and rough cuts, as well as overseeing all aspects of production, post-production, dubbing, marketing and PR for international original programming.

The Daily
• Develop local language content from seed idea to airing the show
• Give creative notes on foreign language bibles, scripts and rough cuts
• Track International showrunners, producers, writers, directors and talent
• Track local language IP to be optioned, developed and produced for HBO Max
• Track worldwide projects in production to consider as potential co-productions or originals
• Track International streamers, broadcaster, and sales agencies for potential co-productions and/or branded acquisitions
• Supports creative alongside PR and Marketing for press and award campaign events around each international originals pre and post launch
• Review Int'l Acquisitions
• Oversees all aspects of dubbing for creative projects and works with top tier dubbing houses, producers and talent
• Attend international TV markets
