Coordinator, East Coast Post-Production and Delivery

Job Description

The Daily
• Support the HBO East Coast post-production executives in successfully navigating a large volume of programming through the post-production, delivery, and archival process.
• Acquire production elements like weekly schedules, paperwork, and archival materials from shows and make sure they are executed and delivered according to HBO specifications and timeframe.
• Track development materials and delivery for post-production executives.
• Under the direction of the post-production executive, collaborate with HBO programming, production, marketing, PR, CA, International, and outside vendors.
• Thoroughly review music and effects tracks and give notes and direction to audio mixers.
• Review show credits and onscreen text against contracts and paperwork.
• Arrange DCP creation and screenings for festivals, awards, and events.
• Juggle multiple projects simultaneously, requiring a strong ability to pay close attention to many details and moving parts across a wide variety of programming.
• Handle challenging situations with poise, analyze issues effectively, model professionalism, take direction from multiple executives and be able to accommodate various work styles and personalities.

The Essentials
• Minimum 2 years production and/or post-production experience, with an understanding of television post-production workflow and technology.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks. Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), including ability to communicate in post-production technical terms.
• Must understand the foundation of video and audio technologies, including files and meta-data; post-production workflow, camera technologies; network and broadcast delivery and quality control requirements.
• Interest in staying ahead of the technology curve to understand upcoming trends and needs in the documentary, sports, live/near live, and entertainment industry.
• Handles challenges well and achieves effective results. Is calm under pressure and isn't afraid to ask questions in the appropriate setting.
• Experience with MediaSilo, Air Table, AVID interplay, Frame i/o, Aspera, Smart Sheet, photoshop and Microsoft office.
