The Job

Acting as the ''right hand person'' of the General Manager, HBO Max EMEA (GM), the job holder will be required to manage a broad portfolio of business projects on behalf of the GM. In this highly visible position they will also partner closely with the GM's leadership team, the HBO Max Global Max Team (GMT) and the other Regional BU teams on the ongoing development, review and implementation of the business strategy for HBO Max across the EMEA Region.

The Daily
• Regularly assessing the market position of HBO Max across EMEA, with particular attention to evaluating opportunity and readiness for new market launches.
• Identifying in collaboration with GM and other senior executives, strategies and opportunities that will profitably grow the EMEA business in alignment with the strategic plan.
• Collaborating with Regional & Global leadership on projects or transactions, business development activities to build external relationships.
• Develop and maintain presentations to communicate and justify complex business decisions.
• Conducting and overseeing financial analyses, including the development of financial and operating models, and ad hoc analyses as required.
• Working on variety of high-level special projects including competitive due diligence.
• Conduct market research to analyse international media market trends and monitor the competitive environment.
• Identifying potential business development or strategic opportunities.

The Essentials
• Experience of consulting, investment banking, or corporate development/strategy experience in an international environment (preferably Europe)
• Strategic thinking capability balanced with tactical and implementation / execution skills.
• Exceptional influencing and leadership skills and preferred experience working cross functionally across many areas and levels of an organization.
• Specific expertise in developing strategic alternatives with cross functional implications and financial impact.
• Intellectually curious, strategically minded yet also operationally-oriented and highly collaborative.
• Expert Excel & Powerpoint user.
• Always willing to roll up their sleeves with an attention to excellence at all levels.

The Nice to Haves
• Relevant experience in media sector is helpful, particularly streaming and / or subscription-based business models.
• Bachelor's degree, MBA and / or other advance degree strongly preferred.
