The Job

As the Associate Creative Director (ACD), Copy you will assist in driving the operational success of all creative execution of HBO Max Growth Marketing's consumer facing channels via best-in-class copy. The ACD, Copy will be a hands-on cross functional leader collaborating with Creative Directors and Growth Marketers to lead a team of writers that understand our voice and our customers in order to speak to them in a way that will drive KPIs. The ACD, Copy is someone who has hands on experience but also is well versed in managing a small team while also managing relationships of key partners.

The Daily
• Oversee the direction for all growth marketing channels: dotcom, display, DCO, paid social, video, in-app, lifecycle/email, partnerships and promotions
• Manage and mentor writers and copyediting team with an emphasis on career development
• Partner with the creative director and design team to ensure copy is on-brand and addresses campaign and acquisition objectives
• Manage and assign projects for the copy team
• Comfortable with hands-on creation and partnering with external creators and agencies
• Present creative/copy to senior leadership team and to cross-functional partners
• Help develop and inform creative briefs that provide strategic insights, and data driven results to inspire creative concepts and ideas

• Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies and oversee projects from concept to final execution
• Communicate learnings from iterative testing to inform creative concepts that are anchored in KPIs and drive consideration and demand
• Partner with Acquisition, Campaign Management, Analytics and Program Management on developing scalable design frameworks with the goal to optimize creative performance
• Help establish standards, guidelines, and playbooks for internal and external partners

The Essentials
• 10+ years of copy experience working with growth marketing teams, media/entertainment, streaming, advertising or tech
• 7+ years of management experience overseeing a team of writers and copy related functions
• A thorough understanding and experience with dotcom, display/paid, multiple social media platforms, and lifecycle marketing
• Adept at multitasking while coordinating multiple projects and resources, delivering under tight timelines and adapting quickly to change
• Experience leveraging KPIs, data, metrics and applying learnings in real-time
• Bachelor's Degree
