SR. MANAGER/DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMATIC BUYING (REMOTE/USA) - GDM (Gray Media Group)

Gray Digital Media is part of the corporate team at Gray. This position falls to the Digital Sales arm of GDM, which covers all elements of digital sales from design, to sales, operations, fulfillment and reporting.

Job Summary/Description:

Gray Digital Media is in search of a Sr. Manager/Director of Programmatic Media Buying to help lead Gray's third-party Programmatic offerings and provide thought leadership in the Programmatic space, both internally and externally. This role works closely with agency management and leads a team charged with the development of programmatic tactics across all channels including but not limited to display, video, audio, connected TV, and more.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Act as the top domain expert in leading programmatic platforms such as The Trade Desk, and share their expertise and establish best practices both internally and externally
- Manage communication and requests from individual TV stations
- Provide training and support to the media buying team, clients, and stations for programmatic buying
- Contribute to building and analyzing reports on campaign success, developing a summary for sales teams to utilize in current and future opportunities
- Vet and onboard new analytical tools
- Monitor and report on KPIs including traffic, impressions, CTR, CPM, and engagement rates
- Oversee the marketplace, competitive landscape, industry trends, and third-party data sources to constantly identify new marketing opportunities
- Contribute to educational documents, best practices, and innovative solutions developed by the Ad Ops team.
- Lead assigned team to prioritize and delegate tasks as needed in areas of campaign setup, pacing, optimization, and interaction with station sales teams
- Develop best practices, guidelines, and SLAs on programmatic campaign planning and management
- A go-to resource for a strategic programmatic and omnichannel consult, developing ongoing materials and training to improve internal team capabilities as well as providing guidance on any given account for higher-level channel strategy
- Additionally, this position may be required to perform other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
- 5+ years managing Programmatic campaigns with a Demain Side Platform, preferably The Trade Desk.
- Excel power user (pivot tables, Vlookup, index match, charts, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to create analyses that move beyond an explanation of 'what happened' to 'why it happened' and 'what should be done'
- Experience with Data Visualization (e.g. Tableau, DOMO)
- Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, The Trade Desk, social analytics, data integrations, media analytics, and client databases
- Proven experience leading and building a team of direct reports consisting of junior and mid-level staff.
- Experience taking on a high level of responsibility, works well under pressure
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a deadline-driven, changing environment
- Familiarity or exposure to A/B testing
