Job Summary/Description:
Big 12 Studios is responsible for developing and distributing on-demand and live programming covering the Big 12's teams and athletes. The programming, which includes varying lengths and formats that leverage the rights to Big 12 game footage will be distributed to official Big 12 platforms, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and across the leading OTT platforms including Samsung TV Plus, Amazon, Roku, and more.
Big 12 Studios is a video partnership between the Big 12 Conference and Raycom Sports. This position will be based in Charlotte, NC. Raycom Sports offers an opportunity for production professionals to contribute in meaningful ways to our business, and lead and grow within a company that values quality, innovation, and determination.
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing unique content across all social platforms with the goal of producing meaningful engagement, monetization, and significant growth for Big 12 Studios and its partners. We're looking for someone who brings passion and excitement to the role. As an official digital video offering of the Big 12, this role offers a unique opportunity for the sports fan looking to take their career to the next level.
Major Responsibilities/Activities include, but are not limited to:
* Leverage Big 12-owned video to create and monetize content in support of brand priorities
* Develop creative for social content series
* Produce and edit social-friendly content utilizing our technology platforms
* Post social content on each of the relevant platforms
* Monitor social media platforms and alert the production team of news and trending stories to be used in programming
* Pull, evaluate, and communicate meaningful insights into each platform's analytics from them
* Responsible for overall day-to-day consistency across all social platforms and related on-air social content
* Propose and explore new ideas to keep the Big 12 Studios' social media voice relevant and innovative
* Implement brand and conference initiatives into new content strategies
* Assist in the planning and execution of long-term brand strategies aimed at audience growth and brand awareness
* Collaborate with other departments and team members including programming, content, and sales teams
* Create and distribute a year-round social programming calendar

Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
* Knowledge of social networking channels, including best practices, troubleshooting, and analytics
* Working knowledge of Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, and other content creation software
* Excellent knowledge of Big 12 sports, and the broader collegiate and professional sports landscape
* Excellent editing and proofreading skills
* Strong project management, time management, and prioritization skills
* Creative consistency that drives new ideas, themes, and content series
* Good organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well with other people in a team-oriented environment
* Ability to make smart decisions and adapt to changes, especially under fast-paced, stressful conditions
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to apply them to improve organizational and technical effectiveness
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must be willing to work nights and weekends as dictated by the college sports schedule
QUALIFICATIONS:
*BA/BS required, concentration in marketing, journalism or new media preferred
*2+ years of digital content creation experience
*2+ years of professional social media experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Employee is regularly required to stand or sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach
* Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds of equipment
* Must be able to perform physical duties consistent with setting up a production studio such as bending, stooping, and kneeling
* Ability to work in an office environment with moderate noise
* Ability to work effectively in a home (non-office) environment when called for
* Ability to perform computer work for an extended period of time
* Will be requested to work non-business hours and weekends for special job-related events
