Job Summary/Description:

Raycom Sports is looking for a team-first, energetic, creative Social Media Manager with a passion for creating industry-leading content in the digital space. The ideal candidate can oversee and manage projects, create fresh concepts and content, and work within a team to accomplish the goals established by the organization. This role will be partially responsible for in-game posting on Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) social handles, and as such, night and weekend hours will be expected throughout the college sports calendar.

The position will be based in Charlotte, NC.

Major Responsibilities/Activities include, but are not limited to:
*Leverage ACC-owned video to create and monetize content in support of brand priorities
*Collaborate with the ACC social media team to plan and post gameday social content
*Work with ACC marketing team to produce weekly marketing emails
*Assist in managing content on ACC website using CMS
*Assist with ACCDN content ideation and execution
*Produce and edit social-friendly content utilizing our technology platforms
*Assist in on-site social coverage of ACC championships and media day events (Kickoff, Tipoff, etc.)
*Implement brand and conference initiatives into new content strategies
*Assist in the planning and execution of long-term brand strategies aimed at audience growth and brand awareness for ACC and ACCDN

Requirements:
* Knowledge of social networking channels, including best practices, troubleshooting, and analytics
* Working knowledge of Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, and other content creation software
* Excellent knowledge of Atlantic Coast Conference sports, and the broader collegiate and professional sports landscape
* Excellent editing and proofreading skills
* Strong project management, time management, and prioritization skills
* Creative consistency that drives new ideas, themes, and content series
* Good organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well with other people in a team-oriented environment
* Ability to make smart decisions and adapt to changes, especially under fast-paced, stressful conditions
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to apply them to improve organizational and technical effectiveness
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must be willing to work nights and weekends as dictated by the college sports schedule

Qualifications:
* BA/BS required, concentration in marketing, journalism or new media preferred
* 2+ years of digital content creation experience
* 2+ years of professional social media experience

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
* Employee is regularly required to stand or sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach
* Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds of equipment
* Must be able to perform physical duties consistent with setting up a production studio such as bending, stooping, and kneeling
* Ability to work in an office environment with moderate noise
* Ability to work effectively in a home (non-office) environment when called for
* Ability to perform computer work for an extended period of time
* Will be requested to work non-business hours and weekends for special job-related events
