CENTRALCAST DIRECTOR - TECH/HUB (GRAY MEDIA GROUP)

Job Summary/Description:

Management of the Gray Master Control Hub, which provides centralized master control and support for additional video services as needed. Manage all facets of hub operation to include spoke station communications and planning. All hub staff reports to this position.

STATION SUPPORT -
• Serve as primary POC between hub and station management for problem resolution and project planning.
• Provide support to station managers who seek information related to Centralcast operations and the on-air product.
• Work with reconciliation staff to provide written support for spot preemption and additions.
• Work with local station clients to receive spots and long form material in a timely manner through electronic delivery systems.

STAFF MANAGEMENT -
• Manage Centralcast supervisors and staff including recruiting, training, coaching, performance goals, appraisals and disciplinary action as needed.
• Effective utilization of shift supervisors to provide all staff scheduling, vacation approvals, and handle last minute staffing needs.

CENTRALCAST HUB OPERATIONS -
• Manage the day-to-day operation of all areas including on-air master control; media asset management/ingest; satellite feed recording, and promotion editing.
• Work with engineering on operational aspects of new equipment installation and operation.
• Write all internal standard operating procedures for the hub as new workflows are implemented and additional streams added.

TRAFFIC -
• Work closely with Traffic on a daily basis to schedule local specials, solve episode ID issues and discuss discrepancy reports.
• Organize and drive Fall Season changes for all syndicated shows on all streams.
• Ensure that all media is in house and ready for air as scheduled by Traffic.
