ANDROID MOBILE APPLICATION DEVELOPER (REMOTE/USA) - GDM
Job Summary/Description:
Gray Television is looking for a mobile application developer to develop the platform-specific code for our upcoming Flutter applications. This position will focus mainly on Android but will help with iOS and Flutter/Dart development. This role would also help maintain our existing Android and iOS applications while the Flutter application is developed.
Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working with our Flutter developer to write the native Java code for platform-specific features
- Designing and implementing new features and enhancements
- Creating user interfaces based on design needs
- Downloading, parsing, and displaying data from various feed sources (JSON, XML)
- Identifying and fixing application bugs
- Integrating 3rd party SDKs
- Publishing applications to the app stores
- Assisting in Fire TV/Apple TV React Native integrations
- Building and maintaining existing Android and Fire TV applications in Java
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Have one or more mobile apps released on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store
- 1+ years of experience with Java/Kotlin
- 1+ years of experience with Swift/Objective-C
- Experience integrating 3rd party Android frameworks
- Experience with code versioning tools such as Git or SVN
- Experience with or ability to learn Fastlane
- Ability to communicate effectively in a fully remote team environment
BONUS EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with Flutter
- Experience with server-side web development, including generating JSON feeds
- Experience with continuous integration platforms such as CircleCI
- A solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle, including automated testing and building
