Job Description
Director, Current Series (FX Networks)

FX is seeking a Director of Current Series to manage production and creative concerns related to assigned shows, and other matters related to the network's involvement with programs. This position is also the primary liaison between the FX Current Series Department and Marketing, Public Relations and departments related to Diversity & Inclusion.

Responsibilities:
• Manage projects in pre-production, production, and post-production and give creative notes on outlines, scripts, and rough cuts.
• Oversee the departmental development report, budgets, production pipelines, and the projects it encompasses.
• Coordinate with other FX Content departments and Disney General Entertainment on concerns relating to FX's original programming.
• Evaluate writers/directors/producers and material for possible projects for FX original programming.
• Oversee communication with the Diversity & Inclusion teams.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of entertainment experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Manager level experience in either production management, development or current programming required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with creative talent as well as all levels of corporate management
• Ability to assess creative merit in written and visual material
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated decision-making autonomy

Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
