Job Description
Framestore brings together world-class producers, artists, and technologists to craft visually striking work across advertising, episodic, and immersive productions. Our teams blend creative ingenuity with cutting-edge technology to deliver high-end visual effects, immersive storytelling, and premium content for global clients, brands, and broadcasters.
Framestore combines talent and technology to bring life to everything we create. Driven by creativity and inspired by the future, we set out every day to reframe the possible.
The Role
Framestore London is on the lookout for a technically minded Nuke artist or Compositor TD who thrives at the intersection of creative problem-solving and pipeline development. If you're the kind of person who enjoys crafting smart tools, streamlining workflows, and collaborating closely with artists to improve day-to-day production, this could be the role for you.
You'll be part of our 2D pipeline team, working across a wide mix of projects in advertising, episodic, and immersive media. From building custom Nuke tools to tackling colour pipeline challenges, your contributions will help us shape the future of compositing at Framestore.
What We're Looking For
• A strong background in compositing with advanced Nuke skills.
• A natural problem-solver who enjoys writing tools and improving artist workflows.
• Someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced production environment.
• A good communicator who can explain technical solutions in a clear, approachable way.
• Comfortable juggling multiple projects and switching between artist support and longer-term development tasks.
• 3+ years professional experience in Compositing, preferably in Nuke and a variety of other packages.
• At least 1 year of Python software development in Linux/Unix.
• Experience in solving colour and 2D pipeline development.
• Experience in software development in a team environment, including the use of source control systems, revision management and maintenance.
• A solid understanding of the 3D pipeline.
• Proficiency in film and video broadcast standards, and video and graphics formats.
• Must be highly organised and have the ability to juggle several tasks at once in a highly efficient manner.
• Additional experience with Qt and DCC API, such as Nuke API, is desirable.
