Job Description
Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for managing, creating and supervising all news promotions, POPs, sweeps and image campaigns. This position is also responsible for community special events, outside media placement, wide orbit spot creation, commercial production and scheduling and other tasks as assigned. It also serves as executive producer to create high-quality promotional products for targeted audiences and users to increase sampling and tune-in to newscasts and engagement on digital platforms.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise CSD producers assigned to the unit who create and deliver advertising messages
• Plan advertising campaigns for news and corresponding products.
• Create, review, approve, and revise copy
• Work with producers and VP Creative to create on-air and branded marketing campaigns
• Develop and produce, unique and creative/branded station content for our digital platforms
• Work with News managers and EPs to obtain best content/moments of our news products that demonstrate our brand to viewers/users
• Serve as liaisons between the news and creative services
• Present fully realized campaigns during pitches
• Manage on-air, digital shoots
• Help to grow our news audience and engagement on all of our digital platforms
• Creates contests and giveaways to drive tune.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• The Promotions Manager is responsible for exceptional video production, including writing, directing, cinematography, editing and a working knowledge of motion graphic design
• Work with the unit's writer/producers to create innovative and branded news, marketing materials for station on-air, station website; station social sites mobile platforms, and other media platforms
• Works with design director, graphics hub and VP Creative Services to create necessary news branding graphic elements for all digital platforms
• Works with unit's writer/producers to create innovative marketing messages for sweeps pieces and news events; such as FOX 35 Investigations and special reports, FOX 35 Storm Team, and FOX 35 Thunder Truck
• Acts as lead producer and supervisor for long-form or special creative content production for digital sites. Works with digital manager and digital editors to produce web/promo collaborations for unique content
• Create news marketing social posts and target them to coincide with all on-air news promotional efforts
• Works with the VP Creative Services to manage news promotional ad avails on web/mobile and social advertising and Google Ads
• Works with writer/producers to create on-air campaigns and news promotables and uniquely expand onto digital platforms
• Work with VP Creative to organize branded social efforts by tracking goals, evaluating posts, and developing best practices
• Work with VP Creative to train producers in successful news promotion writing styles and innovative editing techniques
• Track metrics and determine the success of content/coverage marketing programs
• Work with VP Creative Services to organize and plan strategic community outreach for station.
• Other duties as assigned

Supervision of Promotions Producers

Work normal business hours. May include needing to work on weekends for station events or weekends and during severe weather situations.

EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE USED
• Microsoft Office
• Adobe CC– Photoshop, Premiere, Aftereffects, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.
• Cannon Eo7D- SLR, GoPro, Sony FS5 camera and other equipment as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in innovative writing, editing and producing brand content
• Experience producing engaging digital content
• Keen sense of graphic use and design
• Strong understanding of current web/social trends and technology
• Non-linear editing skills
• Advanced video production skills
• Ability to work under daily deadline pressure
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Outstanding organizational and problem solving skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university preferred
• Five to seven years of experience in producing or managing on air creative and digital and social media content
• Experience in media production (local, cable, network) highly desired
• Promotion/Marketing experience preferred
