Fox TV Stations
Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.
Working closely with News Operations Manager this position is primarily responsible for news vehicle fleet maintenance and repair. As such, will act as primary contact with repair shops and vehicle dealerships. Drive company vehicles back and forth to dealerships and repair shops for routine maintenance and repair. Track Department of Motor Vehicles registration for all fleet vehicles. Assist News Photographers with their needs as it relates to the vehicles and equipment. Act as liaison between the station and our helicopter company. Maintain proficiency with Live Vehicle Safe Operations training and conduct training for new hires and refresher courses for staff as needed. Must have valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Notify the assignment desk and any other necessary personnel when there are problems with equipment. Attend and participate in department meetings, safety meetings and training. Install, set up, adjust, assemble, control, test and operate station broadcast equipment to meet news and engineering department requirements.
Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate and necessary.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical
school; and at least four years related experience in TV station maintenance, or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Particular emphasis will be placed on experience withsoftware applications, operating systems and general-purpose troubleshooting in a network
Membership in IBEW union required.
