JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports is looking for a Senior Manager, Engineering Operations to join our team in California. The Senior Manager is an important member of the FOX Sports Field Operations Team. This position provides organizational and logistical support enabling all facets of the department including Remote Studio Operations and Remote Game Production. This position works with the Field Operations group to keep projects (and events) running smoothly.

The FOX Sports Field Operations Department is a dynamic and fast-paced team that provides support for various sporting events, typically seven days a week. This department is responsible for ensuring that all technical and operational aspects of live sporting events are seamless and flawless. The FOX Sports Field Operations Department is a critical component of the live sports broadcasting experience. Overall the department is a vital part of the live sports broadcasting experience and their dedication and hard work help ensure that fans can enjoy the thrill of the game from the comfort of their own homes.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects with budgets in excess of $5MM
• Manage existing relationships with FOX Sports vendors to be used department wide, while cultivating relationships with new vendors
• Coordinate weekly meetings with Engineering Department to keep track of projects, additions equipment
• Report expenditures, track invoices, and work with vendors to ensure timely payment of invoices
• Oversees procurement & inventory for the department
• Work with tech managers to source equipment whether FOX owned or rental
• Work with the team and vendors to continue to innovate FOX Sports broadcasts
• Enable engineering resources, both staff and freelancers to test and develop new workflows
• Because of the nature of live sporting events, this department works on a demanding schedule, often operating on tight timelines and under high-pressure situations

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Ability to be flexible with ''off-hours'' communication and the understanding to handle problems in a 24/7 network environment
• Ability to multitask and work well with a group, both internal to FOX and external
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and ensure that all projects are moving forward as planned is critical for success in this role
• Detail oriented and organized
• Experience with large scale remote broadcasts
• Experience making travel arrangements for large groups and individuals
• Experience in tracking budget
• Working with team members in different time zones may require a sensitivity to different cultures and work practices, including being aware of different time zones, customs, and holidays, and finding ways to work effectively across different time zones
• Excellent and effective communication skills as the person is responsible for coordinating between team members, stakeholders, and clients
• Clear and concise writing, active listening, and the ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences
• Leadership skills: Being able to lead a team, delegate tasks, provide guidance and support and clear direction and feedback to team members, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive team culture
• Knowledge of project management methodologies
• Ability to create project plans, set milestones, and track progress

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $118,000.00-158,000.00 annually for California, Washington, New York City and Westchester County, NY. $98,300.00-131,600.00 annually for Colorado. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
