Production Producer

Job Description

FOX Sports Arizona is seeking a National Hockey League Producer! This position will be the main Producer for the Arizona Coyotes hockey package on FOX Sports Arizona. In addition, this person will assist in producing Coyotes magazine shows, specials and features as needed. During the NHL off-season this person will be asked to produce games and/or pre-and-post-game shows for other sports. Duties include working with the Executive Producer and Coordinating Producer on show content and presentation; working with Operations to coordinate and setup events and productions; scheduling and participating in meeting and conference calls; and maintaining regular office hours during the off-season.

Essential Functions:
• Produces the Arizona Coyotes hockey package or other events as needed
• Produces pre-and-post-game shows, magazine shows, specials and features as needed
• Works in conjunction with Executive Producer and Coordinating Producer on show content and presentation
• Works with Operations to coordinate and to set up events and productions
• Assists in developing less experienced staff and freelance employees
• Produces any needed documents for each event
• Schedules and participates in meetings and conference calls related to productions as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film is preferred, and equivalent work experience will be considered
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in live event remote producing is necessary with a focus on the National Hockey League
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

Skills and Experience:
• Strong organizational and project management skills are necessary
• A demonstrated ability work without supervision in a high-pressure environment is essential
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary
• Ability to operate video cameras, videotape decks and non-linear editing equipment is necessary
• Knowledge of Television Remote Production Facilities is essential
• Previous supervisory and leadership skills are required

Physical Demands:
• Occasionally required to bend and lift up to 30 pounds
• Must be able to drive a car and hold a valid driver's license
• Must be willing to travel often and attend live sports events

Work Environment:
• This position works primarily in the field at live sports venues inside in remote TV facilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
• Expected to maintain normal office hours during the off season
